nHere is the promised review! I picked this up because- well I just had too! It had a union jack on it! It was rimmel! It was lovely! IT HAD NAVY IN IT! Now…I don’t wear navy eyeshadows a lot- but it’s my absolute favourite colour so this palette was just screaming at me ‘BUY ME! NO REALLY- ZAINAB DO IT!”
and I did. And at $7.00 from Shoppers it was relatively inexpensive!

hSo here’s the back and you can see it has a little guideline (also excuse my gross looking nail, I was doing some plastering and had obviously missed that bit to get out of my nail -o-;;).

Here’s a close-up of the palette. You can see that the little tiny right-angle triangles have some insane amount of glitter in them!

And the swatches! My only issue with this palette is that it’s really bloody difficult to get your finger in to swatch the smaller navy/silver colours. I used the little sponge applicator but I know most of my brushes will ahve a difficult time navigating the quad.
Overall the colours aren’t INSANELY pigmented- but they are decent! I was a little disappointed by the pink- whilst it is very very pretty with very fine pink shimmers to it, I was expecting it to be a really vibrant pink.
The silver is the most pigmented of the lot- I’m not the biggest fan of silver eyeshadow but it blends beautifully and looks lovely as an inner highlight.
The matte-navy blue does have a fine shimmer to it- it’s a little boring. Nothing to write home about.
The sparkly blue- the swatch doesn’t do it justice (I need to find my digital camera!!). It’s very dark and has a crazy amount of vibrant blue glitters in it. It looks really really pretty. I’d definitely use this as an under-eye lowlight shadow, it’s really a lovely colour. It’s a pity that we only get a few tiny triangles of it and its so hard to dig your brush into!
Overall: I give this 4/5. I’m taking a mark off for the smallness of the palette- whilst I LOVE the design it is rather impractical. And whilst the colours were very pretty they were not anything really incredible so I’m not exactly tempted to go buy any other colours.
Hope you enjoyed my review!

Hello everyone! Sorry for not updating in ages; I’m really swamped with work and school. But I have something to (hopefully) scintillate you enough to wait for my next entry.
I recently bought the new rimmel eyeshadow set as a part of their new union jack and Kate moss collection. I’ll be reviewing it soon.
Other than that I was thinking of perhaps diversifying The Unicorn Diary- what would you guys like to see? More outfits, dieting tips, makeup tutorials, reviews, recipes, little photoblogs of my life?
Perhaps I’ll include all of those things!
Haha.
Until next time,

It’s no big secret- but Zara is my absolute haven for shopping. I’m terrible- I buy most of my tops/dresses from Zara (RW&Co is undisputed, in my opinion, for trousers of any kind, whilst I go to Gap for jeans!). Anyway I was perusing their website and came across two gems that I shall be definitely hunting down and buying!

Would look very cute with a pair of opaque tights, wedges and a neat blazer!

The only thing I dislike is that this is black- I don’t really like wearing black too often. Only if I can wear it with a fun colour- however the cut of this dress is to die for! Love the sleeves! I think it would look really fun dressed down with a mint green hijab, or a pastel lilac one, a pair of simple trousers and strange shoes.
That’s all, sayonara~
